「ヒュー・トレイシー幻の50年代アフリカ・フィールド・レコーディング」のBEANS 国内盤未配給分のＣＤです。本録音は、ウガンダで1950年、52年に録音されたもの。ガンダ、ニョロ、アンコレ族の音楽を収録。地をはうようなヴォーカルから始まり、ドラム・アンサンブルや木琴、フルート・アンサンブルやナチュラル・ホーンズ・アンサンブルなど、複雑に絡み合うメロディーとリズムからわき起こる自然なグルーヴがすばらしい驚異的な音質の良さは、既発国内盤で証明済み。ジャケットの美しさも秀逸。
