イギリス各地の伝承音楽を紹介する老舗レーベルのトピック・レコードがリリースしてきた〈民衆の声〉シリーズの2014年作『ザ・フラックス・イン・ブルーム』は北アイルランドのアルスター地方で1952年から53年にかけてフィールド・レコーディングされた音源を収録している。ディスク１には“ザ・マン・オヴ・ソング”ことパディ・タニーの歌唱を含む同地の様々な家族の歌を、ディスク２はダンス・ミュージックと銘打ち様々な器楽演奏を収録。ディスク３にはベルファストのキャンプ場に集まったアイルランド南部、西部からの季節労働者たちの歌を収録。３枚組93テイクの膨大な音源を多角的な視点で編集された本作はトラッドの奥深い世界を垣間見させてくれる。（サプライヤーインフォより）
