A UFO comes from Niger! Five musicians of different origins (Niger, Chad, Reunion Island) break the codes with their unique electro-roots vibe. A live that makes you move irresistibly: it’s Studio Shap Shap.
Among them, three traditional musicians with rare instruments: the powerful Mai Douma, on Douma percussion with his unique foot technique; Ousseini, the tall soloist and his small string instruments, his Komsa and Molo; Popo, the fairy, with his Kindé harps. They are escorted by the groove of Harobasse, the bass player, and Sakina, conductor with her piano and electro samples that capture the daily life of Niger.
After the album « Château 1 » in 2016, first self-produced musical journey, quickly the band travels to give concerts in Europe in halls and world music or eclectic festivals such as Esperanzah (Belgium), Rototom (Spain), Africajarc (France)…
At the end of 2019, Studio Shap Shap lost its oldest member, Boubé Diallo. Touched by this immense loss, the five friends throw themselves wholeheartedly into the creation.
At the beginning of 2022, after a long wait, pandemic obliges, the group returns in Europe to present its new live and an EP announcing the release of their second album « Le Monde Moderne » (release on December 9, 2022).
