From the World is a World Music collection which reflects exciting new forms, cross-overs and collaborations resulting from meetings of traditions and genres in an increasingly interconnected world. It is an exploration of the music but also the place with themes ranging from love and oppression through to peace and happiness, life and the past. With a superb range of musicians and music most tracks are innovative in some way, a result of the cross-pollination between cultures, musical idioms and at times technological developments. There are also several remarkable collaborations featured: Between pioneering American bluesman and world fusionist Taj Mahal and kora virtuoso Toumani Diabate from Mali. The exceptional collaboration between Turkish guitar and saz virtuoso Erkan O gur and Armenian duduk maestro Djivan Gasparyan. And the new multi-ethnic guitar release of Serbian Goran Ivanovic and Chicago legend Fareed Haque. Other musicians include: Mali s diva and wassolou singer Oumou Sangare. The rising young Greek-Romani star Kostas Pavlidis. Israel s oud and violin virtuoso and noted peace activist Yair Dalal. Hawaiian contemporary slack-key master Keola Beamer. The classically trained Italian music agitator Daniele Sepe.〜メーカーインフォよ
